According to a new post on the OnePlus community, OnePlus is now in the process of releasing an update to the OnePlus 3 and OnePlus 3T users. The update names OxygenOS 4.1.3, based on Android 7.1.1 Nougat and is rolling out as an OTA update to both devices. However, OnePlus has confirmed that the update is being rolled out on an ‘incremental’ basis, which means not everyone will receive the update at the same time. For the first time, the OTA update will only be heading out to a small percentage of users, then the wider rollout will start in the next few days.
The OxygenOS 4.1.3 update seems to bring a number of general improvements and fixes for both devices. Two biggest improvements mentioned in the changelog directly relate to the camera experience. The first is the stability improvement when recording, and the second is video a reduction in blur effect when users take images of moving items. The update comes with connectivity fixes as well, in particular for Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connections. In addition, OnePlus stated that this update would bring a number of general bug fixes, as well as general improvements to the system overall.
The single specific new feature in the changelog is the addition of ‘expanded screenshot’s feature, though, it was rolled out with a previous OxygenOS 4.1.0 update which released in mid-way through March. So it is unclear there is anything new here. However, if you had not seen the expanded screenshot feature in the OxygenOS 4.1.0 update (the ability to take screenshots more than you see on the screen), you will get it in this update. Typically, with the updates from now, OnePlus is keen to hear feedback from users on their experience with its latest updates in general over the OnePlus forums.
