After Chinese and South Korean market, the Samsung Galaxy S8+ with 6G RAM variant finally goes on sale in Hong Kong. As for a confirmation two weeks ago, Samsung today released the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ models in Hong Kong.
The standard variant of the Galaxy S8+ (4GB of RAM and 64GB of inbuilt memory) will be sold at HK $6,390 (around $820) while the higher 6GB RAM and 128GB ROM variant is priced at HK $6,998 (around $898). From now, those who make a pre-order the Galaxy S8 or Galaxy S8+ soon will be able to receive the device on 25th of this month. The 6GB RAM variant, of course, will not be locked by any particular carrier in Hong Kong, which means you can use the SIM card of any carriers on the world.
Apart from being equipped with 6GB of RAM and 128GB of ROM, the model is identical to the 4GB RAM variant sold in Hong Kong in other terms of specs. The smartphone, others people can also say phablet, sports a large 6.2-inch dual-curved “Infinity Display” screen with a QHD+ resolution and Corning Gorilla Glass 5 protection on top. The variant for Hong Kong market will run on Samsung’s in-house developed Exynos 8895 octa-core chipset. In terms of camera, the Galaxy S8+ still features with a 12MP rear camera with a bright f/1.7 aperture lens and the Dual Pixel autofocus technology, while on the front is an 8MP selfie camera, which is paired with an f/1.7 aperture lens. In connectivity department, the Galaxy S8+ comes equipped with LTE Cat.16 and 1 Gigabit Wi-Fi support, Bluetooth 5.0. Other key hardware specs include a 3500mAh battery capacity, an iris scanner for unlocking phone, IP68 standard certification for water and dust resistance, rear-mounted fingerprint scanner placed near the main camera, and the USB Type-C charging port.
