According to a recently its announcement, Xiaomi will bring its two smartphones: Redmi 4X and Redmi Note 4 to the Mexican market this month and two devices will go on sale both online and offline. Xiaomi decided to launch in Mexico as they see the potentiality of this market as well mark a point for the company’s expansion into the Latin American market. There are about 44.2 million smartphone sold out in Mexico last year but this number still increases as the lower device prices encourage consumers to purchase smartphones.
In order to reach the consumer’s demands, Xiaomi co-operated with various online and offline merchants to rise up its presence in the Latin American country. The Coppel, Best Buy, and Sam’s Club will be the offline sellers, while those who prefer to purchase Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 and the Xiaomi Redmi 4X online, there will have options Amazon, Best Buy, Soriana, Elektra, and Walmart.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 4 will go on sale at the end of the month with the price tag at MXN 5,499 (around $285), the Xiaomi Redmi 4x lovers will have to wait a little longer but the device will be available for just MXN 3,999 (around $200).
Besides smartphones, the company also introduced its MiCommunity LATAM platform for Xiaomi fans to connect with other members and join in certain activities. Active members in the MiCommunity will have exclusive access to launch events, and products. A MiCommunity app will also be uploaded to the Google Play Mexico this month and will be available in other Latin American countries later. For Xiaomi, the loyal fans are important when the company can gather their comments and feedback so that Xiaomi improves the company’s products. Moreover, the company’s fans will help this Chinese manufacturer expand its presence in other Latin American countries.
